About Buysuppressors
What We Are
Buysuppressors was created because most suppressor sellers are retailers, not professionals. They list inventory. We solve actual problems. Every suppressor on this site has been physically handled, mounted, and in many cases shot by our team. We don't sell products we haven't verified.
The platform was founded by Marcus Thorne. He spent nearly a decade as the senior armorer for a federal law enforcement academy, where his sole focus was weapons quieting systems. His job wasn't to read spec sheets—it was to attach them to rifles, pistols, and machine guns, then run them for thousands of rounds in training and evaluation cycles. He personally tested over 350 different suppressor models in controlled settings. He knows what holds zero, what carbon-locks, and what endcaps blow out after 5,000 rounds.
Our selection isn't based on margin or distributor deals. It's based on mounting repeatability, maintenance lifecycle, and real-world acoustic and gas performance. You won't find "the latest influencer model" here unless it meets a durability benchmark. We prioritize suppressors with consistent thread interfaces, accessible baffle designs, and manufacturers that provide clear torque specs and service support.
When you buy from us, you're buying from a vetting process. Marcus and our small team examine every model for concentricity, mounting system integrity, and material finish. If a manufacturer claims "0.001" tolerances, we check it. If they claim "user-serviceable," we disassemble and reassemble it under realistic field conditions. We reject about one in five models submitted to us.
Our advice is direct. We'll tell you if a .30-cal can is mediocre on 5.56. We'll tell you if a pistol suppressor needs quarterly piston maintenance. We provide actual dB reduction data from our own meters, not marketing copy. This is the resource we needed when we were buying gear for serious use—now it's available to you.
